Working with fearful and timid dogs.
When I first met Sylo, he was trembling and shaking in the corner of the daycare, clearly trying to distance himself from all the other dogs who were happily playing and interacting. When I brought this situation to the owner’s attention, they expressed their deep concerns about Sylo's fearful behavior, particularly around other dogs and new people he had never encountered before.
Sylo was so anxious that even the slightest weird noise would set him off into a barking frenzy, much to everyone’s surprise. It was evident that this was going to require a comprehensive behavioral modification course, employing clicker-based positive reinforcement training, along with agility exercises and proper socialization techniques.
Remarkably, within just a month of this dedicated training regimen, Sylo had made significant progress and was able to join the other dogs in the daycare, showcasing a newfound confidence.
